I was watching band of brothers on media player 11 when all of a sudden the dreaded BSOD came on for half a second and pc rebooted.

As it was only half second i couldnt see what problem was but when system rebooted had a windows notification that an unexpected shutdown had occured and got the below details.

Problem signature:

Tried googling but couldn't find anything, any ideas or is there something else I could check to get a more detailed description.

Cheers

In case it happens again, so that you can see the error without it re-booting straight away, open system in control panel, click on the advanced tab and then settings in the startup and recovery area.

Untick 'automatically restart' and the machine will just hang on the error message instead or re-booting.

Was it a dvd rip or an origional? If it was a rip, do you have the latest codecs installed. Divx, AC3 etc...

Cheers for that, unticked auto restart.

Its a DVD rip. Originally when tried to play episode 1 about a week ago it would only play sound, so I installed K-Lite Codec Pack 3.29 (Full) Beta and they played fine until now.

U reckon that is the prob then, would I be missing a codec.
