This started happening after a graphics card upgrade - so that is what I'm currently pointing my finger at.
I don't have another panel to try at the moment, but I guess that could be the issue.
ATI/Sapphire 4890 was installed under Windows 7.
ATI drivers removed and latest Cats installed - everything appears to be working fine.
Whilst using the machine, randomly the screen will blank and then immediately flick back on.
It's a Dell 24" display and when the screen comes back the small "DVI Square" appears in the top left corner of the screen - the icon you get when the machine first boots into Windows.
Yesterday wiped my machine and freshly installed Windows 7 7100 and installed all drivers freshly - so not a software issue.
Still occasionally get this flick off, flick on.
Have moved from DVI 1 ro DVI 2 on the back of the card to see if it was a problem with one of the outputs - no difference.
It's totally random as to when it might happen, it doesn't happen that often.
It's almost as if ever so often either the card stops displaying or the LCD panel changes its inputs (which it would only do if it suddenly stopped detecting a signal).
Has anyone seen or heard of anything like this before?
I can put the old graphics card back in if need be - I just want to avoid that if this is an issue that can be fixed elsewhere.
