Random shut downs, just like a power cut

Running like a train still, no problems, no errors/warnings of any kind in the event log, before there were quite a few.
I did put a new SSD in also.
So while i am not 100% sure what seems to have rectified it.
Leaning towards corsair link software and it not running well on windows 8 and possible the asus board not liking some of the windows 8 drivers it install during a fresh install.

It's odd how this sometimes can happen - the moons were perhaps perfectly aligned when you added the SSD...
Hopefully you've narrowed down the problem - and here's hoping you've finally got a stable system.
