Sorry, didn't see the graphics quote.

I would say the PSU could be the cause if that's where your graphics are coming from. You could also try and reset the BIOS to see if this helps.

Have you checked the health of your hdds?
What about temps, as overheating can cause shut downs.
When you say "random", is this regardless of what you are doing at the time or does it happen when you are doing something more intensive than just browsing.
Does it happen with one stick of ram? What voltage is your ram set at in the bios?

hi,

temps are fine, around 35c ATM
random, yes any time, watching video, Internet only, starting up, don't play any games there is no form to it
have not tried 1 stick, will try that in a minute
health on ssd (samsung 830) is fine

running on 1 stick atm
this can happen several times at night, or can run for over a week

stock volts, 1.5v iirc, have tried +100mv no difference

What sort of wattage were the two power supplies you've tried?

You've tried everything I would normally recommend as a cause (PSU and RAM). Could be a spike in a core temp somewhere, but that sounds unlikely.

hi,

they are shuttles own 250w iirc,

just a side note, have been using a pcie tv card and usb tv stick

they both have been cutting out, have ditched the card but only use the stick now but have sited it a good meter away from the pc and its fine

could there be some sort of electrical interference?

hi, for anyone interested

seems like the 3570k graphics are the problem

the cpu is not at fault as thats been replaced, possibly a compatible issue?

since i started using a cheap graphics card, i have had no issues
