Hi,
I RMA'd my PSU because it had a faulty power switch but now with the replacement i am getting random shutdowns just like someone has pulled the plug.
But before i send it back i just wanted a second opinion.
It usually takes a good few hours for it to shutdown so i thought it could be the cpu overheating. I run prime95 for a few hours but temps never rose above 48c.
I have also tested the ram with memtest and that found no errors.
I have tried to stress the system as much as possible by running the power supply tester on occt and prime95 at the same time but it was fine.
So that just leaves the PSU and motherboard that could be the culprit.
My old PSU was a BeQuiet Straight Power 620w and the replacement is a Dark Power Pro 750w. I have also put the CPU clock back to standard to rule that out.
Thanks.
