I just installed a fresh copy of Vista Ultimate x32 with all the drivers for my motherboard from the Asus website (rig in sig) and I'm having a problem which presents with an occasional system hang which lasts maybe 2.5 seconds if even that- whatever my computer is doing it STOPS dead (including playing music) and I hear one of my two internal HDs rev up and perform a brief read/write operation.
I had this problem once before and installing a driver seemed to fix it but for the life of me can't think what it was; I've gone through all the stuff from Asus downloads and there's nothing in my device manager which seems to be short a driver.
Any ideas?
