Just a Random thread :D But I after express my happiness for this excellent Electric shaver.
Been using this now very close to one year still using the same blade it came with and still cuts like the day I bought it. I highly recommend this to anyone that hates shaving. It's faster, no irritation of skin and best of all never cut yourself.
Philips say One Blade should last 6 months so if you shave a lot you might need to change the blade more often than me. I shave once a week sometime once every two weeks.

Is this a competition thing.

I'm getting regular spam of this advert when watching major streams on twitch and the whole advert of regular guys saying how great it is is overlaid with a message saying they got paid in "points" for prizes for saying so.

100% no Competition thing, bought with my own cash from Boots

Electric shavers have never given me a close or good feeling shave :( I also have a beard like steel wool so probably explains.

I love the feeling of shaving (I use a DE razor) but hate the faff of having to shave. I shave every day so an electric would come in handy.

I keep seeing this and was tempted, I use both electric and wet shave. Currently using he Philshave and the heads are starting to feel blunt so may invest one of these.

Same until I used this, it looks honestly like I used a blade its that close. This was recommended to me by a friend of mine and my first words to him was the same, electric shavers just dont cut has well.

This is for anyone thinking i doing this for some sort of competition or points, Over a year I have owned it now didnt think it was that long. 16/07/16

I find that it's "OK". It doesn't give me a super close shave, but it's decent for a quick shave if needed.

It's not as close as a proper "shave" for me but I think a lot depends on the type of hair growth etc.

I've had mine for over a year too! Love it. And I've tried a few others before nothing was quite as good.

Nah - Wilkinson Sword Hydro 5 with Gillette Fusion ProGlide gel - 95% the quality of the best DE shave but in half the time.

Anyone have this also used a Remington Barba? If so would you say this is better?

They are aimed at slightly different markets really - one blade good for quick daily shaving the barba better as an overall beard grooming solution.

I've got one of these and it's OK for the morning 'crap, I woke up late and haven't shaved for a couple of days' shave but it's nowhere near as close as a proper shave. It's great for leaving a good stubble and having clean lines on sideburns and beard.
I tend to use it on my hair as it's closer than a 0 with my clippers but less of a faff than getting the blade out.
