Well my internet connection randomly disconnects, it is completely random. Sometimes it happens when gaming or just surfing the net. I use chrome and it says the DNS server is not responding, windows diagnostic says the same thing.

HELP!!!

my isp is Post Office, and my modem router is a zyxel P-660HW-T1 v3 and I use Netgear 85mbps homeplugs

This is the error message I get from chrome: Error 105 (net::ERR_NAME_NOT_RESOLVED): Unable to resolve the server's DNS address.

excellent - no ip address/gateway address/dns server supplied...which would make internet access a no-no. Have you tried resetting/powering off for 30 secs and retrying?
you could try and change the dns settings if you can, try googles it is 8.8.8.8

I have been regularly powering off and on for the last week but when i use it for a bit it disconnects, I refreshed and I got an IP etc.

those noise margins are up and down a bit, have you tried just the router in the phone socket and nothing else? Different filter?

I couldn't find a different filter but I connected it directly to the phone socket and my noise is now:
DSL Noise Margin (Down/UP): 5 dB /23 dB
Also I noticed that the interface speed has gone up from 3000 to 6848
Interface Status Rate
DSL Up 6848 kbps / 448 kbps
LAN Up 100M/Full Duplex
WLAN Active 54M

right, that suggests a phone wiring issue. You shouldn't really use an extension for your router, straight into the master socket is best. If it's almost doubled the sync rate something isn't right. this will probably be the cause, if you can eliminate what is causing it to be so bad I guess most of your issues will disappear

I plugged it into master phone socket, before we had extended it because we had no space downstairs now my router is behind the sofa. Thanks 3dcandy for your help
