Hi,
My desktop has started to randomly freeze for no apparent reason when doing almost anything. This has happened up to 4/5 times a day, and requires a hard reset. It does appear to be random though.
I've done full virus scan, checked for spyware and malware, cleaned the registry, cleaned the inside, reset the RAM and CPU, and uninstalled tons of stuff that was on it, yet the problem still persists. I also did a Prime 95 for around 3/4 hours, and the computer was still standing after that with temperatures not going above 65 degrees.
I'm starting to think it might be a hardware issue ( probably RAM ). Do you you think I should run a memtest? Would reinstalling Windows help? After restarting tons of times the clock reset, so I'm wondering if there is another problem though with the motherboard (CMOS battery).
Any help would be great!
