randomly getting reboot and select proper boot device

Reboot and select proper boot device
Insert boot media in selected boot device and press a key.

You mean my windows 7 disk?

I loaded up and went to repair my computer it comes up with system restore.

If I do that will I lose recent files?

Thanks for the help

I never had any windows updates or anything.
I just downloaded some ps4 videos I had recorded and uploaded to my video.

After I clicked repair then restore it said it worked fine then restarted. After restarting I still get the

'Reboot and select proper boot device' error

I pressed del and headed into bios

How do I check if the battery has failed.

My top options are

if it has died what would the fix be or would I have to send it in for repairs?

I could open my computer side up but what would I be look for?

Just any cables that have been undone?

Unfortunately I don't have access to another computer :(

I put in my Windows 7 professional disk and selected update windows so I can keep my files etc

Then this pops up

'The computer started using windows installation disc. Remove the disk and restart computer so that windows starts normally. Then insert the installation disc and restart upgrade. '

So frustrating :/
