randomly unstable system

Hey, got a slight problem with my main rig.
At one point I had about 5 HDDs attached +dvdrw, using a raid card for the sata ports, but by system became annoyingly unstable so I ragged the raid card out and the additional drives and went back to the parts listed below. My system was then much more stable and I was happy enough. I figured my system was trying to draw too much power even though after using various PSU calculators it said it wasn't... but hey what works, works).

The thing now is that my system could be under decent load eg running a minecraft server with a few people joined whilst playing myself and running various programs at the same time and it will be working like a charm, all system monitors showing everything is working fine.
Then at times I could just be browsing the internet and my system will freezing up for maybe 10secs to a couple of minutes, again checking hardware monitor saying all things are fine still using like half my processing and ram power.

Any ideas why this is? PSU wigging out and dropping power at times? or maybe the mobo is not up to the power of the cpu?... It's not really bothering me but I reckon its best to see what's actually up before something fails.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Components:
AMD fx8350, AsRock 990FX Extreme 3, corsair vengeance (2x4GB 1600MHz), Corsair H80 closed loop, OCZ ZT750 fully modular psu, kingston 120GB SSD, a few hdds, Win 8.1, some led fans

In terms of power a 750w is ample for your system but does not rule out a possible fault which can be tricky to find.

Have tried running Mem test (link below) just to rule out possible faulty memory.

I assume all temps are ok.

Had this memory a good few years now been in a few rigs and was always fine, I'll give mem test a go when I get in from work.

Yeah temps appear to be fine, highest I've seen them go is 47 on CPU and 65 on GPU. CPU is avg. 12 on boot then idles about 24 while using applications and web browsing

Maybe a Cpu issue? Could just be maxed out by something. I just had something like that. Bizarrely, Origin doesn't let me launch through Steam anymore. When I do, everything looks fine, but on opening a game, the game will max the Cpu out and pause intermittently. Very strange.

So, maybe the Cpu is being pushed by something? Have you tried monitoring it during your game?

Yeh running games its usually between 20-60% cpu usage with the odd core or two sometimes hitting around 70%

I believe this may be a faulty mobo, watching films on it the other day and it was shorting out and system diag couldn't figure out the problem, However I did. The audio jacks have stopped working if I plug audio in when the pc is on it'll short out the system. Even using the audio ports in the case does the same. i can only assume the onboard audio card has gone. Using a USB adapter atm. but I believe I may need a new motherboard.

Any suggestions for a nice stable motherboard for this CPU?
