I thought I'd start this mainly for my own sanity, sorry. As I'm going this alone (preggers Mrs) where I'm normally in a team, it's nice to write it down somewhere so that I know I'm on track and not letting it all get on top of me.

Situation is currently; Probably 18 months ago now I hit 16st2 at my heaviest and a lot of this was down to spending a period working away on my own drinking a lot and eating portions for 4 (I like cooking and used this to pass my time alone). I started riding to work everyday and eating a lot less and it started coming down.

I then did this "fitness challenge" with a group of my Mrs' friends locally to us and hit my lowest that I remember of 13st dead. Yay. Dead chuffed.

This was in about July last year and I was getting married in August so let's say that that took a bit of a priority but at the wedding in August I was still sitting at 13st2. Post wedding flew by until we were in holiday period where to be honest I ate whatever I wanted. I love food.

Saying that I made healthier choices and don't eat as much in general as my appetite was smaller, which helped. That and I skied fairly hard meant I jumped on the scales last weekend and was only 13st4. Not too bad considering the meat and terry's chocolate oranges I destroyed! :D

I also decided to give up smoking due to my wife's pregnancy so thought it's about time I had another focus, so I'm back on it again.

With that I decided to actually do the Focus T25 program. I'd flirted in and out with it in the past but never religiously done it. I was seeing results riding and eating well so didn't feel the proper need. Now though I really would like to cut my body fat down if I can.

The thing that is great for me about this is, whilst I know it's not going to be the best, with a pregnant wife who already can't do much and 2 youngish boys and working all the hours, I have to fit everything in. Most nights I have to pick the kids up from somewhere, get shopping, do the dinner, the washing up, homeworks, washing on and out, kids in bed, so by the time I stop it's about 8:30. Fitting in 25 mins seems to be ideal (just the motivation at that point not to sit on the sofa).

This is a comparison I did from when I started to before the wedding:

I started this week, with my Monday pic here:

(nice face & messy room. Blame the Mrs...)

I'm on day 4 of the Alpha week (see here) and at the end of the week (forgot to do it at the beginning) I'll take my first measurements.

I'm currently like a really uncoordinated hippo attempting most of the routines, but hey, my heartrate is always hammering and I'm dripping and sore at the end and every day afterwards so it's doing something.

Tonight is Ab intervals so hoping I can feel my arms again tomorrow. I'm eating pretty damn well too. Typically something like yesterday:

Breakie: Porridge with semi skimmed milk & small drizzle of honey

Lunch: Leftover tomato & chicken pasta (today is leftover stir fry from below)

Dinner: Homemade beef stir fry with a bucketload of veg & noodles. (Tonight is griddled chicken breast in hot sauce, load of salad and pitta, homemade nandos style).

Snacks: Couple of clementines usually.

Plenty of fluids too. I go through about 4 litres a day at the least I'd say. I love a good drink. Cutting coffee to one in the morning and one in the afternoon too instead of the 5-6 I'd have before.

As said, this is more for my focus and sanity so apologies for boring you all with my waffling on. :)

Quite looking forward to tonights session, until I'm about to do it that is!
