Randomy humming noise?

Long story short my PC is already somewhat loud due to having an open case etc. But when my tower is on all four legs it seems to make a humming noise, but when I tilt the tower it disappears, what could be the cause of this?

Vibrations travel through the case, holding/moving the case can make them stop.

I'd target the key areas such as the fans or the HDD's.

i had this issue before it was one of 2 things, rear exhaust fan screw was lose and the right hand side of the case was a bit bent so the screw that tightened it was lose.

sounds like a fan. do you have any that are horizontal? i had this a while back; changed the fan to different one and was fine.

I had some noisy Seagate drives that behaved this way, the vibration went right through the case. Ended up suspending them on elastic to minimise (still didn't eliminate) it.

I had a psu that made a similar sound, silicone washers helped
