Hey focks,

I have had my new computer running for just over a week now and have been getting some random freezing issues.

Am unsure whether it's hardware related or software and as yet I cant find a common cause. The computer in question is in my Sig.

The first couple of times it froze I just did the ctrl + alt + del and then task manager. Ofter the whole screen would go blank except for a curser and then it would all load up again eventualy.

The other time I was running late for work so just turned of my monitor, returned from work 5 hours later turned on monitor and the mouse was a little loading symbol and wouldn't let me do anything. Ctrl + Alt +Del didn't work

And most recently during boot up just before windows gives you access to the desktop the curser had the loading symbol but wasn't spinning and the computer wasn't reacting.

Testing So far.

ok this is the event stuff listed from around the crash time.

Error :Your computer was not assigned an address from the network (by the DHCP Server) for the Network Card with network address 0x002683143748. The following error occurred: 0x79. Your computer will continue to try and obtain an address on its own from the network address (DHCP) server

Warning : The driver \Driver\WUDFRd failed to load for the device Root\SIDESHOW\0000.

Warning : The driver \Driver\WUDFRd failed to load for the device Root\SIDESHOW\0001.

The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first. This error could be caused if the system stopped responding, crashed, or lost power unexpectedly.

So after some reseach I descovered that the Driver belongs to G510 LCD screen so I have turned of the slide show mode. but unfortunatly it keeps appearing in the logs.

Temps.

Ok the computer is running at stock speeds and stock settings.
Temps
CPU
Idle 30
Load 55

GPU
idle 39
load 75

Other than these random lockups there isn't any other indications of a problem. Virus scan and spyware scan both run and both came back clean.

Thank you very much for taking the time to read. And hopefully I can correct this issue and start enjoying my computer a bit more

I had this issue when I had a P8P67 board. It would hang when idle. There is a big post in the hardop forums about it.

I cured mine by updating all the drivers. Then I dumped the board for a UD7 when the B3 swap outs came.

cheers for the feedback.

After somemore research I have descovered the G510 software /drivers might be causing the issue and have found a recommendation to use legacy software/drivers so will try that

And will look into the issue with the motherboard

Ok found that there is a bios update out so will apply that once this Diskchecker is finished
