So looking at getting a new range cooker and we have settled on two models of Rangemaster.

CH90DFFSS/C and PROP90DFFSS/C looking at the AO comparison page apart from a defrost function, PUsh Button Ignition which we are still not sure what it does and a griddle, can not find what makes a £200 difference as everything else is the same.

Anyone got any ideas?

Cheers

Kimbie

Both seem to have push button ignition to me....cant really see much difference other than defrost.

FYI we have a rangemaster, older model but similar to the above. Griddle is great for smash burgers but thats about £30. :p

Yeah apart from blue leds and a slightly different set of knobs and handles really cant tell the difference

I just got that ProP90 you linked and I will say I'm not a fan. It feels cheap, and the weird door mounted grill pan is more inconvenient than it is innovative.

It does the job, and I can't complain about its ability to cook food, but it feels plasticy and flimsy. I don't know what price point I should have gone to where that isn't the case though.

We’re in the same position and had a nosey in Curry’s yesterday. They had a black kitchener for £1079, but looks like it’s OOS on their website.

I liked it, I did think it would feel a bit more solid but the more expensive ones on show were a similar quality. However, I’m not sure about having the wok burner on the side. I plan to do a lot of wok cooking (I have a cheap electric hob so can’t get good results atm) and it seems odd having it at the edge. I imagine the handle will get in the way of things on the counter. Just good (haha!) for thought..

Have a range master 90.
Pain to clean but it's looks nice (black not silver)

Some of the newer ones look a bit cheap I have to say.

Quite like the wok burner. Use it more than I thought I would

We thought the rangemasters felt cheap when we were looking. We eventually settled on a very expensive smeg but it us awesome and feels like it will last!

Is that electric oven - We have a defrost function on our electric Zanussi and it is usefull at times - all it is is it turns fan on and put your frozen stuff in oven - Still takes a while but quicker than leaving it out.

I have a Rangemaster Classic Delux 90. Looks great but was expensive and not my choice. My wife chose it for aesthetics. I would much prefer a double built in oven with lots of pointless functions like steam.
The only things I like about it is the griddle and wok burner.
That said, they are much more reliable than other range cookers so stick with the brand if you want a range cooker.
