Can anyone recommend any range rover accessory places? Trying to price up sidesteps, front and rear light protectors, and bullbars, as well as driving lights. Not exactly the kind of thing that halfords stock, and i am assuming that range rover original parts, although possibly still availavable, will reflect how much these things originally cost:(

Basically to transform a standard P38:

As far as i can see the above parts are all that are needed, its just where to get them and how much they cost?

not my personal taste but Paddocks sell some accessories, they don't appear to have the full bull bar but have the light guards and an a bar thing

Note I'm pretty sure the bull bars / a bars are a foam type plastic - in this case it would offer more protection / padding for any stupid or unlucky pedestrians.

Direct Link (if it works!)

Paddock Spares

Wow some very good prices on there, the bullbar they sell on there plus the sidesteps and light cover things. Looks like it'll be around £300 which isnt bad.

To all the bullbar haters, they are only plastic, wont do anything to pedestrians really. :)

Replicant - i love them both ways, but i think the bullbars just add an edge to the looks.

Lashout_UK - ive bookmarked that, great site but the oem parts are very very expensive as you say!

Just to note this thread isnt actually for me really, its for a friend. Although i must admit i love them too and i am finding it very hard not to get one with some of the bargains on autotrader at the moment :(

Modern ones are just stick on tat really, plastic filled with polystyrene :) He just wants them because they look good rather than them doing anything.

Using them to push stuff out of the way might mean the paintwork gets scratched, and he wont want to get scratches on the bullbars themselves anyway  ;)

I'd love one, i can easily afford to buy and run one, insurance is cheap......but it just doesnt make sense :( I am too sensible and i think i will end up pouring all my money into the financial black hole which is the housing market.

Never know though, i might impulse buy one or something.

Not too bothered about the cost of running one, its more the buying of it and insuring it that bothers me, its going to be £10k to get a nice one including insurance, a good service, and maybe a few mods to bring it up to the level i'd want it.

That £10k is far better poured into a building society :(
