Hi all,

Looking to get a new cooker soon and looking at the Rangemaster range.
Anyone own or have any experiences with these, if so what do you think?

Yep!!

Got a Rangemaster 89060 Professional FX and love it to bits, massive hob which is the main reason i bought one and additional space in the oven if needed, also a nice HUGE wok burner and cradle for stir fry's curries etc

If / when you decide to get one shop around as the one I got was £1500 in most places but appliances direct had it for 1320 so quite a saving..... also bear in mind most of the models are made to order so you might have a week or so waiting for it to be built

Range style cookers are imo brilliant, when I live somewhere where I can fit one I will be! Generally good sizes, lots of different tops you can put on (teppanyaki hotplates/griddles etc), large burners for woks, good even heat in the large ovens....do it :D

Sounds like a good choice then, thanks guys.

For the people who have one; do you have vents running from rear of cooker to back wall for extraction? Or just a cooker hood?
I plan to get electric main compartment and gas tops, to the people who have this; Is it powered via 3-pin plug or have to be wired in direct?

Many thanks

We have the Rangemaster classic 90, the wife wanted it to start running her cupcake company from home and it has done a stirling job, she has moved into a bakery now.
We have gas hobs and electric oven, it isnt a three pin socket so will need to be wired in direct by an electrician.
The splash back for the hobs sits the oven away from the wall and has vents to allow moisture from the oven to rise out, so a hood should be sufficient.

unfortunately not 3pin, wired direct into the back of the cooker so you may need a sparky.......
