Rank the attributes of a good Graphics card in order of importance.

Benchmarks (FPS, heat, OC'ability) are the most important thing along with price. Then comes futureproofness, then manufacturer.

The very basic specs really don't tell you anything about the card. Shader count (from the same manufacturer!) and other 'minor' details tell you a better story. Mhz means nothing, you have to take into account other things such as fabrication process etc.

Basically, you can't rank those details above sorry.

So what is the best card for £300 at the moment?

I'd say the Radeon 6970 at £257 is probably the best bet due to increased VRAM over the 570s in that price bracket. Look at some benchmark comparisons for games you are interested in playing as that's not the say the 570 shouldn't be considered.

The most important factor for me is deffinatly price/performance, with performance measured using benchmarks at my monitors resolution.
Not bothered if its from the red or the green team
