[Rant] Seriously, getting fed up with Nationwide trying to block my card.

Nationwide are consistently blocking every transaction I make online.

I've had it mapped to my Google wallet for a couple of years with no issue and now every time I try and buy something BAM blocked. Oh apparently it's an unusual transaction.

I go abroad and BAM blocked.

I go abroad and this time have the sense to let them know in advance. BAM blocked.

I've complained but 'it's an advanced computerised system, they have no control'.

Now I try and buy the Humble Indie Bundle online and guess what? So I phone them up and they ask me for my name, address and DOB for security and apparently I failed at least two security questions so they've blocked my card until I can speak to someone who has the training to ask more security questions than this. They work 9 - 5.

:D true! Just want a card that lets me buy stuff in dollars (like the Humble Bundle, t-shirts from Threadless etc) without being hit by fees. Plus must be a Visa or Mastercard.

I normally use the Amex (for cashback) unless the retailer doesn't accept it given their crazy merchant fees.
 
Heh phoned to complain, dude tried to shout me down and explain that it's just the way it is. I'm quite calm on the phone as I know it's not the operator's fault but the guy was very rude. Once I insisted he disconnected the line.

Taking my business elsewhere.
