IMHO slow motion replays are way overused. This seemingly standard practice sends me apoplectic when watching footie, my submission is that you cant judge the skill involved in the execution of the goal/move that led up to the goal.In slow motion is impossible to tell jsut how quickly/how little time the players had to ponder their next move/execute their skill/s, furthermore its impossible to tell the 'real-time' speed of shots, passes etc. We are subjeted to endless slo-mo replays from different angles but rarely do we get *** move/goal replayed in real time, this is so glaringly obvious to me why dont they do it?? Ok maybe slo-mo is helpful in seeing if a ball is out or hand ball etc but ffs for the reasons above it is def detrimental to true appreciation of skills on show. They also very annoyingly insist on showing us replays WHILE THE GAME RAGES ON..........for the love of god why cant they get this right??
