Rant time! argos table and chairs...

one of the chairs on our 2 week old table has started to change shape, the legs join onto 2 rings of metal one above the other. The problem is that they arn't above each other now, they are leaning back, takng the legs with em

Took me an hour to build the things! now it's gona have to go back. :mad:

I've no boxes and can't be arsed to take em to bits, should i take it back whole?

Yes, I have many times with computer chairs etc. As long as you have the reciept your OK, if you paid by card you wontneed the reciept iirc.

You should also get seen quickly aswell, as they dont like it when people have big stuff bringing it back

... incase too many people see it

Yeah. If it's busted it's busted. Just take it back, whole or in bits, don't worry about the boxes. If it's faulty, get your money back!

If i was you id avoid argos for furniture, i was reccomending this pc chair i got at first as it felt comfy and was cheap, but a few weeks on and its wearing away and the cushions have flattened down and it feels horrible to sit in.

or take photos and tell them you want a refund/exchange. Save you lugging them to the shop, but might take longer. Worth it if you're changing the whole set - in case the others do it too?

i always find this particular shop a pain in the --- they are pretty good at taking stuff back though, dont bother taking it apart if you dont have to (to get it there)

Hmm, whilst on the topic of Argos, has anyone ever wondered how they fit all the products listed in their catalogue in their storeroom? There're tiny Argos outlets near me, and I wonder where everything goes. :confused:

It's either a big storage room behind the store or all the products are transferred from a secret location by little monkeys via unknown underground passages, I reckon it's the latter.

I think you should take it back one piece at a time over a period of an hour or so as you walk back and forward to your car. This way they will get maximum embarrassment and you can demand compensation vouchers etc.

This happened to my brother, he bought a glass topped table and metal chairs that matched and one of the chairs (out of four) slighlty bent, it was ok though as customer service seemed happy enough to replace them.

Hope yours get replaced
