Rapid trigger keyboard for gaming. Can the KB65HE be beaten for the price?

I'm getting around to updating my peripherals and keyboard is next. I've had this Corsair K70 Cherry for almost 9 years now.

This rapid trigger stuff seems to be all the norm now from brands like Wooting. My budget would be like £110 or so. The Wooting just seems abit ridiculous in price and never seen a sale for it.

OcUK have a sale on the KB65HE (which appears to be very simialr to the Wooting) for £50 right now. That seems pretty insane not to get. Am I missing anything else to consider?

Thank you

Looks pretty solid for the price. I did read about some firmware issues but those could have been updated, do check for piece of mind.

I thought the same. The hardware seems to get good reviews but the software and firmware support not so much.

Annoyingly alternatives seem to be considerably more expensive..

I had a look on their Discord. Firmware was lacking massively. There was a 10 month break between firmwares (latest is April 2025) and currently doesn't have any major issues afaik. I also did more reading and apparently the KB65HE is just a OEM board that many manufacturers have and all of them have just dropped firmware updates completely. I doubt it gets another update but if no issues and £50 it seems worth a try.

For £50 it's worth a punt I think. Especially with OCUK customer service.
