Rapidshare - damn cat

Its really not.

I use it once or twice a month, tops. Going through this stupid system is silly, and is no way to make me part with my money.

Because If I fail, I give up and go somewhere else to get it.
Depends on your uses but I find that I use it a lot for activities I won't discuss here :) For the price of a beer it's good value to be honest.

RS is actually a really good source of content - sure, it's not as 'cool' as torrents from a technical point of view or a sharing-the-love point of view, but the client-server model is still pretty handy :p You can find pretty much anything if you know where to look, and 150GB/month for £5 is pretty good value. And as long as people keep downloading a file it never gets deleted, which is far superior to most P2P methods where the availability dies pretty quickly if it's not something popular.

You can just turn your router on and off (if you have one and are bothered about download limits).

You can, but I'm with BT and it's taken me 8 months to get a service out of them that i'm now happy with. I daren't turn it off until it's an absolute last resort to reset it :D

You mean changing your IP address because you've maxxed out their limit with your current IP address? Too much hassle for me to power down/up my modem... that involves moving a few feet from my desk. Instead I'd just release the interface from a command line instead. But even then, with VM I tend to renew with the same IP address unless I disconnect for a very long time.

You will be begging for cats after the next rapid update
