RapidShare?

Rapidshare is awful anyway. I wouldn't worry tbh and I don't want to spend my bandwidth waiting for a minute and a half to get an error and a message saying I can't download the file. :o

Was working fine for me earlier and the main page comes up fine right now.

And I like rapidshare, if you spend the money and get a premium account it's excellent, but only if you have enough reason to shell out the few quid a month for it.

Are you with BT broadband? I know for a fact rapidshare doesnt work with that as well as other broadband provders.

Try speedyshare.com, does pretty much the same thing but doesn't have the waiting etc. :)

Rapidshare.com works fine with me.

Rapidshare.de however thinks I'm a bot so I can't download anything.

I'm with BT Broadband.

The reverse applies to me. I have a premium account with Rapidshare.de for rFactor downloads and the odd GP4 one as well. Rapidshare.com thinks I'm the illegitimate ******* son of Prince Charles or something.

Does anyone know the connection between the .com and .de versions of Rapidshare? I ask because my account isn't recognised by the .com, only by the .de and if they are linked then surely my account would work on both?

*Edit* Just wiki'd Rapidshare and they are separate entities it seems. Dang, should have registered on Rapidshare.com. Might see if I can transfer my account.

They are the same but setup as separate entities so they can con us out of more money.

If you've got a .de account it lets you use .com as well. You just put in your .com details to get some .de details, and when you pay for .de it adds the same amount to your .com account, so I don't see what the issue is there really.

The issue for me is that I have a Rapidshare.de account yet my attempts to login into Rapidshare.com result in "no premium account" being found. And I only extended my Rapidshare.de account in the last 2-3 weeks.

You don't just log in with your details, you sign up for a new account, using your .de details to get it. I can't actually find it on the page though so possibly the offer's closed, which is a shame and a bit stupid of them.

Tip for those saying rapidshare.com is slow, use the TeliaSonera mirror, I get 300kb+ speeds on it compared to sub 50k on the others.

Unfortunatly now that .com is the focus, .de has become blindingly slow.

Use either the Telia or Telia2 links.
I'm regularly seeing 600kb+ speeds all the way through the transfer.

Rapidshare.com is excellent - I've been happily paying for the premium membership for the past few months (gotta love the strong £ at the moment) and it certainly lives up to its name.
