Ive ran into a bit of a perdiciment. I have a bit extra cashflow than on what i intended and i was thinking about getting a 150g raptor now instead of a 74g. I was just wondering was there a difference between them performace wise? Also should i get the 150g or just stick with the 74g. Ive got a separate 500g seagate drive for junk data and was just planning on using the raptor for things that need the speed like apps and games.

Cheers chaps

Am using a 150gb here...The 150gb is a little faster then the 74GB in review tests...Plus it keep the performance up a lot better as you add more data to the drive...

(E.G The start of a harddrive is a lot faster then the end...So if you put 60gb on each drive the 150gb with the 60gb is going be a lot faster because the 60GB is not getting anyway near the end of the drive)

The start of a 150GB raptor reads at about 80 to 90mb/s.
The end reads at about 50 to 60mb/s.
