So it's been a while since the Raptor lake debacle that led to several CPU microcode and motherboard bios updates.
I ended up with the impression the microcode updates fixed the real issue. The bios updates and Intel performance/extreme profiles were to reduce the number of returns under warranty if too late for the microcode updates alone.
Hence, thoughts re returning to original motherboard settings before the nightmare began ?. I.e in my case 'Asus advanced OC profile' that seems to simply increase limits. I have temperature limits enabled as always and never overclocked the cpu.
