Raspberry pi and LMS

My Synology Nas is still fast enough for LMS however it means sticking with DSM 6 as LMS no longer works with DSM 7

I'm thinking of getting a pi for LMS server.

Last time I used it I had problems mounting the network drive, auto mount did not work upon pi boot up. I won't be using a USB HDD directly connected to the pi

Auto mounting a network drive shouldn't be a problem, I've got a few Pi's and other Linux boxes doing just that. What was the network drive in question? I'm mostly using cifs and it's been working fine for years.

I have my LMS running on a Pi2 which is plugged into my Router which is also powered by one of the USB ports on the Router, my Hard Drive is also plugged into the router then mapped into the Raspberry Pi which feeds to Picoreplayers around the house
