OK lol...I was thinking ( maybe I have the wrong idea about it ) running Linux on it and using it with a monitor keyboard / mouse ).....for basic internet surfing , watching video files and audio , and maybe some other stuff too ?
Mine runs my weather station. It's tiny, it's attached to the side of a bookshelf along with the receiver for the weather station, it uses very little power. It's perfect! I use putty to connect to the command line on it.
I have 3 LED's connected to the GPIO pins on my Pi (1 red, one green and one yellow.
I use a python script to ping my web server and Google.
If I can connect to Google (if i am connected to the internet) then the yellow light illuminates.
If I can connect to my web server (if my server is running as it should be) then the green light illuminates, else the red LED pulses.
Quite a simple use, but I like the fact that I am making use of the GPIO pins of the Pi
