Hey guys, i have always liked the look and feel of the rat mice and went to buy one yesterday, the guy in the store was very nice and offerd me a great deal for getting the freq 5 and rat 7 contagion together along with a free glide 7 surface for a total of (160) overall GREAT weekend so far really pleased with the products the headphones are amazing quality going up from some earforce P11's that broke on one ear cup.

But with the mouse, it's working great and all however with the scrolly wheel on the thumb were you can set a macro for turning clockwise or anti clockwise i cant get the knife to work in bf3 for clockwise motion. If anyone has any ideas how to get that working in game i would hugely appreciate it. i tested the f binding to that wheel in another game (metro 2033) and it worked wonderfull so i know its set properly.

Any help, advice or anything is appreciated :D

Thanks a bunch

Install the cyborg software, then make a new profile and bind the clockwise/anti clockwise motion to the keyboard keys for the knife in bf3.

Thats how I'd do it. Btw I have a rat 9 and all I use the scroll wheel for is zoom in/out.

How is the freq 5 btw? Can't find many reviews for it, can I plug it into my soundcard or is it usb only?

Hey, thanks for the anwser, however thats what ive already done, it doesnt work for it D:.

The Freq 5, what can i say im in love the quality is superb, the base is basey they look amazing. i have been using them for about 20 hours about 10 horus continuous use atm and there super confortable

There made of metal/hard plastics and feel really well build and like there not going to break if you drop them.

They also are very neat in the fact they have a changeable lead in wire about 15-20cm down the wire from the earcups and you can either change it to USB OR!!!! a 3.5MM Jack thats included with the headset.

I tested them with my phone and the quality is still superb what i will do is take a couple of pics so you can understand what i mean with the 3.5 jack as i dont know how to explain it properly il do that now and post them in another reply

ok my net died so i took the pics and whilst doing so i thought i should point out a couple more things, The ear cups rotate as seen in one of the pics, very nice for putting them down and having less chance to damage them if someone stands on them or something along them lines.

Another thing i see a lot of the few reviews i could find were not pointing out is that the mic is removable as seen in the other pic :)

Im not a expert when it comes to headphones or sound, but im trying to not give a biast opinion it would be very nice to have had 7.1 or 5.1 on these but i still notice when wearing them i get a very good sense of were the " enemy " is

And i also think the cables going into each ear cup thats red and black about 3cm (i THINK its there to allow movement of the wire to allow the swiveling cups (but im not 100%) but i would imagine they could be easily snagged on something

The wires are very nicely braided aswell , there like tough shoelaces haha and dont feel like there going to wear away easily.

All in all i really like the headphones if you have any more in depth questions please ask im more than happy to anwser/test

Sorry about the slow reply having big internet issues ( virgin media )

Battlefield 3 will not register an 'insant' keystroke.

You need to add in a delay.

See screenshot below. I work with a 0.350 delay, too small and it will not register. Might be able to shave a little more off 0.350 but it works for me so do not lower further...cba testing more :D

Thanks for the reply, I have tried to add a delay the same as yours 0.350

however the interface is slightly different with the contagion by the looks of it i don't have that "edit action command" menu ( or i cant find it ) however i can still set a delay to a macro

i set F on the clockwise wheel with the delay but it does not register at all, ive tried it in game and out and i get no output from it with that. sorry for being a pain im new to all of this macro stuff and cant understand why this isn't working, all my others are working fine :) Maby il try around with the delay time some see if i can get it to work :D thanks again
