Hey all,

Was looking for some advice on the following build, I would like to go Quad core to bring up the performance in BC2 (and other future games ofc)
I have monitor, Case, 600w Seasonic psu,

I know very little about AMD as I have always been Intel in the past so not to sure what makes a decent motherboard. Budget is around 550 if there is anything else around that gives more bang for the buck?

I was thinking of a hex, but the extra money just doesnt seem worth it (for me anyways as I only really use the machine for gaming) at the moment. I might be proved wrong tho!

I highly doubt you'd get any benefit for gaming by using a hex core cpu atm. Maybe in a couple of years but no so much now.

If would this build also be ideal with a Radeon Sapphire 4870 515, instead of the 5850?

im pretty sure your just paying more for a higher clock? :x and in theory you should be able to clock it to that yourself with stock everything?

Go for this ram and save abit, might want to get a cooler aswell if you want to overclock abit.

And I agree. Throw in a Titan Fenrir CPU cooler or something, as well as Artic Cooling MX-3 Thermal Compound.

I would get this RAM as the other set is out of stock.

955 overclocks real well stick with that save your money for a good cooler titan very good for the money

Will this cooler provide enough space for teh Ram slots???
