My questions and I am open to suggestions guys. I am happy at stock to start with but may tinker with some overclocking later on.

Is that OCuK GTX card a wise choice? Should I go with a BFG or a Leadtek one? I am not a mega gamer but thats probaby because I am running on crap hardware. Woiuld a 640GTS be enough for me for Bioshoch and FSX? Will it be OK in the Lian Li case?

Is that memory OK, baring in mind I will be upgrading to 4Gig soon. Should I get the 8500 instead? I need as much mem as possible becase I run a CIso router emulator package (dynamips) that eats memory. Any options on 8 Gig kits?

I have used Zalman coolers before and like them. Anyone got any strong opinions about the Zalman on the DS4? Anyone recommned a better one.

I will geta case window and better case fans next month.
I don't need a PSU or HD.

Thanks,
Steve

P.S. Sorry, having problems getting images to scale properly on this site for some reason.... Also can't get a picture signature to scale

The 8800 GTX OcUK version is a really great card. They are all from the same place anyway, other cards from people like EVGA, BFG and LeadTek are more expensive as you pay for the name and also for longer warranties, so I would just get the 8800 GTX OcUK version and save yourself some cash. The 640MB 8800 GTS would be enough to play BioShock, however if you want more futureproofing and you can afford it then the 8800 GTX is the way to go. I've checked the dimensions of that Lian Li case and it seems that it'll fit fine however you might want some confirmation on that from someone that owns both or has a picture showing them in it.

I wouldn't like to advise on the Cisco issue as I'm not really sure if 8GB would help over 2GB or 4GB so I'll leave that for someone else that knows more there. The memory however is very good memory and will do 1000 Mhz no problem if you planned to overclock it, otherwise if you don't it already very fast RAM and you'd probably not notice a huge difference to the 8500 stuff which is a lot more money.

I currently own that cooler, and it's a really wonderful cooler. Holds on very well and it's very silent at low RPM mode whilst providing excellent cooling (stock 6400 @ 800 ish RPM and I get 30c - 32c on both cores). You won't need the Arctic Silver 5 also, since that cooler comes with some really good Zalman compound that is in a little bottle that you paint onto the CPU, it's as good as Arctic Silver 5 if not a little better (I'm using it at the moment), so save yourself £7.50 there.

Hey there,

Great Spec there! I have that case and it fits fine, if you go to corsair build logs you will see that they have on in the PC-7 plus :).

I have ballistix 8500 (4GB) Great stuff, wouldn't change it.

I can't comment on the cooler, i teamed my gigabyte ds3r with the tuniq tower, so somebody else should be able to advise on that!

Looks good and will clock pretty well too!
