So it's my first build in over 5 years, that prescot core P4 is well past it's sell-by date and I have a new PC. I bought this a few months back but am thinking of tuneing it up a bit. The stats are:

P6T7 WS SuperComputer
Intel i7 975 EE @3.33Ghz
Corsair 16000 Dominator 2000Mhz 6GB
nVidia BFG 295 Graphics card.
BFG 1200W PSU
2x Corsair 120gb SSD in RAID 0
LG Blue ray DVD burner
CNPS10X Extreme CPU Cooler
2x 1.5 TB storeage drives

I don't know what to do with it really. I can't go SLi which is the obvious I guess,so chuck some ideas at me :). I've never overclocked before and have no clue where to start or even if it's worth it, so if that's the way forward I may need a hand. I was thinking of doubling the RAM, would that do much?
I have no eSATA ports left but I have 2 SAS ports with no idea what they do.

I play games, really PLAY games though, you know? Like every game I get a spair moment to go near. Aye it's sad, but it's a hobby. Also I love having a powerful PC, it seems so much more sofisticated than having a fast car. Know what I mean?
I want the bragging rights, the benchmarks, the DVD encode and install times and most importantly of all, I want the FPS. :D
I hate load times, I work long and hard hours and don't want to waste my time looking at "LOADING". Did that enoug on my old amstrad back in '94

sli 295? you mental?

perhaps you should try putting it all in a computer case? sure it would help.

Are 295's not very good in an SLi setup? It's totally moot point anyway since nobody I contact can get a "BFG" 295. They are nolonger available in the UK :(. I am not happy with the 480/470 reviews and do not want to upgrade yet, unless it's straight to SLi480's. Would that be worth it though?

Hmm I am looking at some benchmarks, can you explain why the 5850/5870 cards are so good? The 5970 in SLi looks more tempting to me.
I've never really liked ATi, I do admit. But this is very interesting.
Would it be worth overclocking any of the bits in my PC instead of buying new things? Would I get much performance increase or would it just lower the lifetime of the machine?

Sorry if I upset anyone. I'm not taking the **** at all, honestly. I can post a screeny if you like, if that will help :?. I honestly want some help upgrading if it's reccomended. Sorry if I've upset anyone, this is my first time posting here :s.
