recently been upgrading my gaming rig due to it being 4 years old and wanting to play games such as Ghosts etc, iv been forced to upgrade my system.

specs :-

Gigabyte UD3R motherboard
intel i7 extreme 3.33ghz - overclocked to 4.5ghz stock cooled
12gb corsair vengeance 1600mhz - overclocked to 1800mhz
Radeon HIS HD 7950 IceQ BOOST 3072MB GDDR5 - overclocked
3 hard drives - 740gb total - soon to be upgraded to ssd
cm storm stryker case - fans on side, moved to front
22" acer crystelx monitor
logitech g500s gaming mouse
logitech g500 gaming keyboard
roccat sota mouse mat
hyper 850w true power psu
windows 7 64 bit, tweaked for speed

old specs was the same apart from i had :-

saphire vapourx 2gb
antec 1200 case
corsair 6gb ddr3 1333mhz

will at some point be upgrading the motherboard and cpu, looking at the AMD 5ghz option as of yet, not sure.

If that is a 1366 i7 then that still ****es over the AMD ones. Just get a 290X or 780 TI.
 
yh its the 1366 version of the i7, it was nearly £800 when i bought it and a lot of my gaming friends envy me lol. i looked at the 780Ti's but couldn't afford it so went with the 7950 iceQ radeon, which is a pretty competitive card from what i read on reviews.
must admit though, even though my machine was knocking on 5 years old before the upgrading started, it still left a lot of my friends up to date " amazing gaming rigs " in a trail of dust :D
