Hi.

I'm building a system for a friend of mine. He wants to play MS FlightSim and i'm trying to make him play iRacing as well. I would imagine we'll end up with an ultrawide 1440p rather than 4k monitor. But it might start out with a 27" 1080p. He wants a system like mine but the budget is slightly restricted.

He's looking to spend around £1200, i've just bought the CPU so that's set in stone.

This is what I'm looking at. Should I goto AMD for graphics? I realise price is higher but I'm going to get him to up his budget. I dont want to spec something just below good enough in order to save £100/200.

Thank you.

My basket at OcUK:

Total: £1,414.92 (includes delivery: £11.98)

Come on get a pcie 4 m2 please.

If your set on a 4070 for and extra £20 then Zotac offer a 5 year warranty if registered within 30 days.

Consider the 7800xt.

Motherboard has an extra m2 slot slightly better vram heatsink for extra £15.

No CPU cooler the Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 is the performance king for £30.

All ordered, thank you.

Went with my original mobo due to stock issues. Also gone for a 4070 as it's a similar price to the 7800.

Your nvme suggestion and cooler.

ty again.

Cool let's us know how you get on .

On first boot you may not see anything on screen for 5 minutes and the pc may restart a few times , the motherboard is training the memory.

Be patient.

Lol this is coming from a guy who has none.

Enjoy.
