I've been waiting for this for so long...

I've just picked up the Radeon 4890 & the coolermaster case, £205 including postage. I'm looking to pick up other bits or equivalent between now & end of july, up to the value of £600 (my limit until then) and as long as the special offer discounts outweigh the cost of individual posting. I wisht ehre was a way to buy parts over a month then ship them all in one go, but alas...

Is it strictly necessary to get the Fenrir & compound over the OEM processor? Obviously I'm looking to overclock it, first project of its type for me but there's really no reason that I can see why I'll need 4GHz/core for teh forseeable future

If you’re going to overclock then a third party cooler is advisable - and the Fenrir is an excellent choice for the money.

My only concern would be your very tall memory combined with the Fenrir as it's huuuuge! You may want to check with OC's that you'll be able to get that particular memory installed with the Fenrir in place - it may require the fan being pushed up on the heatsink.

Additional: - i, personally, would buy the Corsair equivalent of your PSU. If you couldn't afford the 650W the 550W would be ample.

The leads on the PSU aren't that long and with the case mounting it at the bottom and the 4/8 pin CPU being at the top left corner you may need cable extensions or may want to change PSU.
