Rate this b+w conversion

Long time no posty in here :o

No free time with new baby and seemingly neverending cold has meant ive taken hardly any pics for months :(

However this is to be put right, hopefully going out next weekend :)

In the meantime my sister wants another canvas print of one of my pics, she however wants it in B+W to match another canvas i did for her. My ibook has a horrible screen and i have no monitor to hook my powermac too (could hook to plasma and i may do if this doesnt come out well on other peeps screens) so im struggling with the conversion. Im after feedback to see how good the conversion is.

Please let me know what you think (the border will not be on canvas - just to aid contrast)

If I was pushed to ask where it could be improved I might say a tad more detail in the top right shadow area and a tad more contrast in the grass middle bottom, but really, I think your sis will love it :D
 
Did you use the custom RGB to grayscale, (it looks like you did) my photohsop teacher says its the best and most recognised professional way of making a good black and white.

I went the lab colour mode.
