Hey.

My budget was up to £1,200 to £1,300.

(I have 2x 1TB HDDs atm, which I'll keep.)

Basically I was trying to make something that'll be able to flawlessly run dual screen 24" - 27" displays with every game on maximum settings. GW2, BF3, ME3, D3, Metro, etc.

Came up with this:

My suggestions for changes are,

Also with tall heatsinks on the RAM if you want ed to add an aftermarket heatsink you will struggle to get them to fit.

Can you suggest an equal if not better RAM replacement then, my good man?

I'm assuming anything more than 8GB is overkill?

For games anything more than 8GB is wasted.

Alrighty, thanks chaps. Gone with the XFX 850w PSU and the Corsair XMS3.

Anything else I can optimise? Motherboard? (Noticeable differences)

Is there no noticeable performance differences between the two?

I'm not sure how much of an impact getting a £250 motherboard would have on my particular system instead of one of these.

IF you were to put two identical systems together with th two motherboards and have the side by side you couldn't tell the difference in speed.

The Gigabyte only has three SATAII ports unlike the four on the ASUS, there maybe other little differences that I haven't noticed though.

Maybe look through the specifications and see if the number of USB ports, slots etc differ and you need a certain amount?
