Is it just me thats like this...

I enjoy playing different genres of games on pc than I do on console.

For instance on PC I mostly play FPS and Flight Simulators, but on console I enjoy playing Adventure games like God of War.

Its like I don't feel "comfortable" playing a adventure game on pc sitting at a desk I just can't relax into the game.

I wasn't always like this and I don't know whats happened, I haven't seen a game through to completion for ages.

Thoughts?

Fast paced games on the PC, slower more in depth games on the console. Couldn't imagine putting the 400+ hours I've sunk into Bethesda's finest sitting at a desk.

I prefer sports, racing and fighting games on consoles especially for the split screen/ multilayer as I enjoy playing with friends in the same room rather than over the internet. I still enjoy FPS on consoles it depends on the game CS, quake, unreal I would never buy them on PlayStation but I find i enjoyed COD black ops on the PS3 and hated it on PC.

For me it depends on which control method I prefer rather than the system. Such as FPS is obviously going to have to be PC, but when it comes to something like Rayman Legends/Origins or Tomb Raider, I'd not bothered which system it's on as I'd be using a controller for either. I sit on a sofa with my feet up regardless of whether I'm play on the PC or console though so maybe that's why :p

FPS and flight sim on pc, golf and forza on the xbox.
Cant get the hang of a controller for fps, but I'm old :)

If you had a PC underneath your TV with a PS3 or 360 controller, would you feel the same way?

Yeah, it's all about the seating position and mood when playing. I'm hardly relaxed playing BF4, but something like Skyrim where I can sink into side quests and levelling up is a much more relaxing thing that lends itself to the couch.

I can't stand playing FPS or RTS on a console due to the control restrictions, other than that I think it's fair game either way (I play some games with a pad on my PC anyway).
