Hello

Noticed an annoying rattling noise coming from PC, its not fans because i unplugged them and its still the same.
Same with GPU the fans only run when required
Its a very new build, no HDD etc and the only old part is my PSU, could that be the problem? but its hard to locate but to me it sounds like it could be coming from nearer the top.
My cable management is pretty good and there arent any cables rubbing against blades etc

Any help would be appreciated

An update, turned psu off on the back and it sounded almost like a fuse blew (a pop) turned it back on and after a few mins the noise stopped.

Its an old seasonic 850w maybe 7 years old

If it returns I'd make sure all the thumb screws are done up tightly, especially on the pci blanking covers.

I had a weird issue previous where my old power supply was letting off coil whine. I didn't realize what it was at first and it was causing my PC to randomly turn off and all sorts. After a good year or two of accusing my GPU of being a pain I got a new PSU and it fixed everything.

Safe to say, I thought the noise was coming from somewhere else and it wasn't all along. This may be the same sort of issue with you.

Are you able to test another PSU?
