It's very low and I can't figure out where it's coming from. I've checked all the fans, it seems to either be the PSU or the GPU from what my ears can pick up, any ideas?

Try stopping the fans of the PSU and GPU in turn and see if the noise goes away. Just use a cable tie or something to stop the PSU fan and a finger on the fan centre for the GPU. A few seconds without fan cooling won't harm anything.

so the noise stopped when you held the fan?

Could be a broken/worn fan bearing. Should be under warranty so you can RMA the 460 or fit an aftermarket cooler to it.

Okay just did some extensive testing and it's the PSU, I think, I'm not 100% sure but I don't think it's the GPU.

I held the GPU fan down and the sound didn't stop, so I put a cable tie on the PSU fan and the noise didn't really stop either, so I shut the computer off to wait for the fans, and the PSU one died in synergy with the noise.

I even removed a fan I had on top to put some mesh in the case cuz it was really driving me up the wall, the noise is really annoying after a while.

Anyway, I'm not really sure what else I can do to make sure it's the PSU or what else it could be

Simple solution would be take out your graphics card and see if it still rattles... you might not get a display, not sure if that Mobo has integrated graphics, but so long as you can get it to power up and figure out if it still rattles without the GPU in then you can rule out the GPU....

You sometimes get coil squeal from Graphics cards and PSU but I wouldn't class them as a rattle, more a whine noise.

If you stopped the fans at the same time then you have eliminated the only mechanical items on both GPU and PSU so it is strange that the noise continued.

What about a recording of the sound posted here?

?

wire clipping a fan on GPU ? most are replaceable call the manufacturer?

Yeah... I think it's the GPU since it's mainly on when I'm playing videogames meaning the gpu is being worked hard.

Ffs, I probably have to RMA this, should I contact OcUK or manufacterer? bought it in January
