Rave in a Cave

On a side note, probably the coolest club venue I've ever been to (El Camborio in Granada, Andalucia) has dance floors in the caves underneath the rest of the club (a converted mansion on top of a hill).

The sound quality actually wasn't that good but for pure WOW factor it was awesome. Then you can go out and sip your cocktails on a veranda overlooking the city and Moorish temples as the sun starts coming up. The place had so much character that it put most of the traditional 'paint by numbers' clubs to shame.

Indeed, rave in a cave, oh dear, just oh dear, no where to run, possible sea water if near the sea, water dripping from the roof (most caves have this) and a lot of electricity and drunk people, ceeeerazzzzzy

When it rains at a festival, it's not exactly the end of the world, just put a gazebo over the electrical gear. Speaker cabs are pretty water proof, just try to avoid getting too much water around the speakons.

Order about 500 bass traps off these guys http://www.gikacoustics.com/ or if money is tight buy a few tons of Rockwool :) You will need a hefty generator though as a minimum size PA like someone said is 1000W. And then you need some lighting on top unless you are doing the caveman thing and just making some big fires :)
