Just putting my build together and have a quick question.

Does the psu fan face downwards or upwards into the case? I had it facing upwards (towards the board) in my 1200 as the bottom of the case was solid.

Just put the my PSU in the Raven 3 this morning.

The fan slot is in the bottom of the case and there is no ventilation on the top (into the case) side.

If the power cable in the case doesn't reach (Didn't with my corsair PSU), you can undo a plastic tie that you can feel with your fingers where the power cable goes down to the base of the case. (It makes sense once you have the case in front of you) and then it reaches fine. (Although did have me frantically looking for a solution on the web this morning.

have fun

That's the way I've put it in. I'd already read about removing the tie so that saved me a bit of time! Just putting the rest together now.

Same here, even the first reviews had that. Seems a bit of a silly thing to overlook, given that all Seasonic-based PSUs are like that (which includes Seasonic themselves, Corsair et al, so not a minority...).

Definitely agree it's an annoyance for the sake of what, an extra inch of cable? Sort it out Silverstone! My XFX Core 750W required the cable tie removal as well, but then that's another rebadged Seasonic as well, isn't it, so I suppose it would.

According to Silverstone the next revision of the Raven 3 is going to fix this problem. So i guess our input will make slight adjustments and improvements to the version.

RAven rv03-e (perhaps?) ;)

Actually, I'd prefer it if it had some kind of rotary/swivel connector - like the HDMI cables you can get.

Is it just a cable tie on the lead ? if so maybe it's there just to keep the cable secure in transit.
I believe you can buy a right angled connector on the web.

I think it's to prevent the cable from being pulled too hard and coming off the internal connector.

Thanks for posting this just before I was to built mine last night :)
It took me a little while to get it undone as I couldnt really see what I was doing. But it worked out in the end and it fitted on my corsair hx650.

Brilliant case to work with. I just need to sort the cabling out now :)

for cabling, I found it helped to take off all HD caddy's on the back of the mobo that you aren't using. Loads of space then. (If you only have 1 HD and 1 SSD that is) Also there is space to run flat cables under the HD caddy's which neaten up the whole thing as well.

I sort of did mine, (Its neat from the front) and then gave up once I made sure there was decent airflow channels at the back.)
