RAW image editor

Hi folks

I've got a canon 40d and can't find my canon disk to edit raw files, i did use a free program a while back but can't find it anymore and don't use it enough to justify lightroom at £100.
Does anyone have any suggestion.

Cheers Janesy B i had looked there too but could only find updaters for the cds, think old age is getting to me.

Np. Just let me know. They are for the 650D but I'm sure the Canon utilities are consolidated for most models (?)
