Suffered a heart attack and hit his head when he collapsed.

He's in intensive care in an induced coma apparently

Stay strong wilko

sad times - he was superb on Talksport with Alan Brazil in the mornings - only listening to him 10 days ago - Superbly knowledgeable and highly respected in the game.........RIP

Very sad, I was only listening to him on talkSPORT last week and really enjoyed when he was the co-presenter. As a QPR fan I'll always have fond memories of him (even when were got relegated).

So sad to hear he didn't make it :(

I wonder if it was the heart attack or the fact he hit his head when he collapsed that was the cause

RIP Wilko :(

So sad

Any time I ever listened to him on TalkSport or on Sky, I was always amazed at just how much of a decent bloke he sounded. When callers would call in, he'd talk to them like he'd known them for years even if they were rude or talking nonsense. And just listening to him talk in general, he was always so polite about other players, managers or whoever it was they were talking about, never seemed to have a bad word to say about anyone.

It's always a bit cliche when someone passes and everyone say he was the nicest person you'll ever have wished to meet, but with him, I can genuinely believe it

RIP

funny I thought the same whenever I listened to him talking. always had that feeling that you actually knew the guy even thought he was a presenter on a tv program. only 61 too. so very sad.

Yeah terrible news, I was shocked as it only feels like yesterday he was assistant manager for Chelsea.

RIP

I actually met Ray when I was a kid - my under 8s side went to Loftus Road to watch QPR train and after training he came up to the stand to chat to us and sat right next to me.

I mean this as a compliment but as a pundit he came across like an elderly uncle, a bit daft but a thoroughly nice person.

RIP Ray

I didn't realise he was banned for drink driving. Not that it is acceptable but shows everyone has their inner demons..
