Omg how amazingly awesome fun is this game?!
I've just switched my PC on for the first time since getting my Wii, and between WiiPlay, Sports, Zelda and Rayman, I'm knackered
I have to say though that most of my time was either boxing or playing Rayman, I was very apprehensive having never played Rayman, and the advert looked like it was just a few mini games... but it was the only game on the shelf so I went for it.
And... it IS mini games, but they change. There are a fair few of them too, and it's all tied with a thin (but not too thin) plot and done in stages.
You face 4 mini games per stage, and then one finishing game. I've had 3 stages so far and in each i've had one persistent game and 3 new. The persitent game is a lot like guitar hero, and awesome fun. The "mega game" at the end of the 4 mini's was a very well done shoot-em-up.
okay, slightly more in depth descriptions of some of the games:
Dancing
You're on a stage with rabbits approaching on the left and right. When they reach your side you flick that sides controller (wiimote or 'chuck) upwards. This is in time to music and gets progressively more involved. The first song was the fast guitar from the credits of Pulp Fiction, and was quite easy, but the latest was "Girls just wanna have fun" and had a few fast bunnies which were very hard to hit
Flying pig chase thing
One of the endgames saw me sitting on some kinda bird, steering by tilting the remote and hitting the button to snatch up a wandering pig, then dropping them in a pen. Once you get the hang of it it's brilliant!
Shooter
Imagine time-crisis or some scrolling arcade light-gun shooter... with raving rabbids! Theres even some wearing splinter cell masks, some in FBI suits, class! You flick the nunchuck to reload your plunger shooter, then aim and fire with the 'mote. You can grab a bunny with the 'chuck button and then use it as a shield, or throw it as a weapon.
Addictive.
I would heartily recommend this game to anyone. Go buy! Go!!
