Raze Lycosa problems

Hey guys, I just bought a Razer Lycosa keyboard, it looks and feels great, though often it just stops working, either one key will stop working and won't work again until I plug it in & out again or one key won't stop and will carry on acting as if I'm holding the key down.

Literally 2 times whilst writing this (3 now, t button stopped working) I've had to plug it in & out again, probably about 10+ times in past 15 minutes I've been on it.

Razer refuse to comment on it on their website or reply to webforms sent.

Also the drivers that were meant to have fixed this problem only work on XP & vista and I'm running windows 7.

This keyboard is seeming like a very expensive waste of money at the moment...anyone found as ways to fix this? It's unacceptable they even released it in it's current state because from what I've read on the internet 50% or more Lycosa owners are having this problem.

Thoughts? Help? Any other Lycosa owners here experiencing this problem? It's driving me up the wall, I can't play games, program or do any animation, let alone even type a simple word document.

I have the exact same problem mate, mine is far less frequent though, more like once a day? Its quite annoying when playing a game and your W key gets stuck on

Or try it without the Razer software and driver installed. If it does it with no software installed then it's a hardware issue.

Hey, thanks for that. I feel kinda silly now, last I checked there was no win7 driver. If I recall correctly it did happen before I put any software on the computer, now it's only got more frequent since I put the CD in. Will try with that link you sent me, thanks a lot. :)

I run mine with the stock windows drivers (get them from windows update I think) and still have the problem, but its max 3 times a day, sometimes wont do it for 4/5 days. Average about once a day which I can live with, its such a nice keyboard! :P

Is this a common problem that effects Windows 7 ?

Im looking at getting one of these this week but might not bother if I have to unplug it a few times a day

I never installed the drivers on mine (3 months old) and very occasionally I've had a letter key not work. So remove all razer software for it and it might reduce the errors. The touch pad at the top right of mine is very dim, flickers on and off a lot and sometimes goes off altogether. I could RMA it but then might get another with different problems, and problems with the lycosa are well documented.

It's not enough to bother me too much and as Ryan111 said, its such a nice keyboard!:p
