the headset has two problems

first problem: the microphone sometimes is very clear (rarely though) others times i am told its as if im trying to talk whilst skydiving with it being so crackly and distorted, most of the times its unclear

second problem: some of the speakers decide not to work sometimes or they decide to half work and the sound comes out like crap basically, it happens with the rear right the most, this is a 5.1 headset with 8 different speakers in it, 2 centre, 1left,1 right, 2 rear and 2 subwoofer

basically im told these problems are common with the headset from other forums and from reading up about them, ive emailed razer requesting a replacement, i doubt im gonna get one, i doubt the place i bought it from will give me a refund since its been more than 30 days, its only 2 months old, and cost me near enough a ton, in future im only going to buy logitech equipment, razers build quality and service is extremely shocking

I had a pair of these and RMA'd them, then when they new ones got back I sold them (unopened) on MM. Guess what...these had a different problem (sensitivity on mic was too high) so were RMA'd again. Dunno if the 3rd set were any better but I agree that these headphones while great when they work are not very reliable and has since put me off buying Razer products in the future.

I didn't RMA to Razer I went through the e-tailer. Its standard UK law that all electrical componetns must carry a 1yr warrenty with the retailers so aslong as you have the reciept send em off for RMA and cross your fingers you get a good pair.

the headphones are good when they work, but shocking when they dont, thanks for the advice, i think ill wait and see what razer say, if they wont send me a new pair then ill get the etailor to do it, probaly just sell them on and buy lome logitech headphones
