is your mic jack on the card set to digital or mic in?

mic is plugged in and not muted or anything?

also, how do you find the headphones?

tried any games, music etc? :)

lay-z-boy i have these headphones.

a lot of people have problems, HOWEVER. my pair are perfect nice sound, very good mix, of highs and mids, cant beat them, sound a bit different on games, compared to what im use to, but on css, i can hear half the way across the map!

quite strange!

Problems such as what?

I have been eyeing them up for lan use and for voice input as my current headphones are about to fall apart (mdr-v700)

such as the lights breaking, etc, mic not being that loud, not very sturdy all of it which is a load of tripe ive been through loads of headsets, and this is 100x better than any i have tried, and i have tryed icemats, sennheisers, panatronics, everything!

these are just brilliant, worth every penny. look the business in LAN's too.

BTW. look at team fnatic on the right how shiny are those headphones :D

so, has no one been able to remember how they set it up? is it really that weird to set up?

basically i wrote a email off, and was on vent, then was just clicking away an hay presto it worked.

All razer told me to do was check it was plugged in :P

ok, installed vent, clicking around in the settings, still nothing lol

this is really annoying me!

anyone find anything on google about this prob? i cant find anything, or a solution

Hi there,

Thank you for your support for Razer.

We would like to seek your cooperation to try and plug the HP-1 microphone into
another mic port (probably on a built-in micport on your system) and see if the
problem is there.

This will actually assist us to isolate the problem and identify if it is the
microphone or the mic port on the headphones is faulty.

Do let us know on the outcome, thank you.

did this and i emailed back confirming that the mic plugged straight into the xfi elite pro soundcard jack DOES pick up sound no problem (listened to the quality very quickly, and no i want it to work even more)

so ive asked support in the reply email a question which i should relay to you guys..

what now? does this mean my headphones are buggered, or there is some silly thing i havnt done?

So when you plug the mic into the soundcard it works?

When you plug it into the jack on the headset and te headset mic plug into the soundcard it doesnt work?

Sounds like the mic line from you headphones is borked.

Same problem here mic isnt working and the rear left speaker isnt outputting much sound when i test it in the sound properties compared to the other speakers. Changed around the cables and the problem switched to the front left which makes me think its not the headset but my soundcard thats the issue.

Funny how we're all on x-fi's

Edit:

Got the microphone working in XP went to sound and audio in the control panel, tested the microphone then clicked the 20db boost microphone option.
