Right this is my second set of Carcharias ive had in a year, each one the right driver has stopped working, no broken solder points visable, think its either the inline remote or the little sealed plastic piece on the left cup at the bottom where the wires travel through is at fault.
Due to this im now in the market for another headset of simiar specs, with better quality
I love the size and the quality of the sounds on these and the microphone is crystal clear so these would be important on the replacements, Im limited to using only headphones in the house, so they are used for everything game/music/movies and use TS/Mumble/Vent a lot - Think i have 2 options, another gaming headset or seperate cans and mic (clip on thingie)

What would you guys suggest?
Budget is a tight one, around 70 ish, just a little annoyed as paying that much before didnt get me quality that lasts.

Edit - i should add ill be using my xfi extreme muisc card, and if possible especially if you have used them, something with a bit of thumpy bass, quite like that in a headset.

If your a music and game lover then personally I'd go for the Roccat Kaves, Fantastic set of headbuckets, I only got rid of them as mine broke during moving and completely died.
The headset has an inbuilt vibration unit in each ear, The mic is very clear, Bass sounds amazing and explosions will rock your world, 5.1 to boot as well :)

£64.99 so within your budget :)

Cheers Dicehunter, i know this is all subjective, as is most things, for the price i could take a punt on them and see if they float my boat - ive tried 5.1 headsets years ago the Medusa 5.1 and wasnt impressed back then, since ive been using stereo headsets, a couple of creative HS-800 and Hs-850 then these razers.

Ok for some reason im completely hooked on the Razer Blacksharks design lol and further reading and looking at pics, the Kaves ear openings look a bit small, in that picture above they look wide enough, but most pictures and videos its smaller, ive had surgery on both ears, which have resulted in a lot of scar tissue behind the back of my ears, so they dont move that much, only thing that concerns me with them - the Carcharias are a perfect fit for me.

In that case I would go for headphones a bit larger and the blacksharks as far as I know have a bigger ear cup, The Kaves do hurt after a while.

The Kaves are very good the Medusa's suffered from terrible build quality so I hear you when you say your not a fan of 5.1. In fairness I think the Kaves will change your mind and they are very solid, I have had my two years now and I'm very happy with them.

Errrr...why have you not warranty returned the Razer's?

2 in one year is ridiculously shocking build quality.

Yea it is is, but ive had enough with them, the shop i bought them from (not ocuk :( ) are a pain in the backside and cant be doing with the hassle.

And thanks to you two, i might try them and see what they fit like, hopefully they are wider than some of the pictures show.

Plus they are on today only deal...bonus!! lol
