Hi.
Ive had my mouse for about 2 months now and the mouse wheel has suddenly started squeaking horrendously, i dont scroll up anymore coz it just sounds horrid, and it occasionally gets stuck down.
Any body else had this problem?
Should i send it back under warranty, does warranty even cover this?!
Any easy fixes?
Thanks.

Its more about the shape and coddy size of my hand lol.
Think warranty covers this?
(i'll search out the box)
Guessing putting any kind of lube down in there aint good. Was thinking cotton wood bud/tweezers and some lube down through the gap and onto the spindles holding the wheel?
Think it would be rubbing there or against something at the bottom?

the copperhead, krait and diamond back all seem to have this problem..
I am now a proud owner of Razer Salmosa, and it may be the cheapest.. but surprisingly, it is the most reliable, lightest and overall best mouse I've ever used.. and the sensor is amazingly accurate.

I've used krait, lachesis and salmosa so far..
and so far, salmosa is the best
the krait's mouse button doesn't seem to work as effective as when it was new after a year of use, and lots of dust got stuck in the mousewheel.... so I replaced it with a salmosa.. I've now been abused it for gaming extensively for the last 7 months, and it still feels the same as when it was brand new. The other thing I noticed is that there isn't any dust that gathers on the mouse wheel at all without cleaning :p

just give the company you bought it from a quick call, see if they'd accept the return... you'll never know :p they might be quite generous.

I had a mate with a copperhead who had to RMA his because of the scroll wheel, Razer should be ok with it. At least worth a try before you void the warranty or buy a new one.

I had this with my mamba so I sent it back and got a replacement. There are videos and tutorials out there which will tell you how to fix it yourself however, if you'd rather do that.

My razer diamondback 3g wheel has gone **** up it does not click in unless ya push it hard so i have gave it my brother. I am buying the roccate kone mouse this week anyways so im happy.

As its only 2 month old, you should be able to contact the retailer and get it exchanged, Razer support will probably ask you to do that. Only if the retailer refuses to exchange then Razer will get you a brand new one, only problem is their nearest RMA place is Germany, think it was about a fiver P&P when my Deathadder started to develop faults a few month back.

You could open it up and attempt to fix it yourself as mentioned above, but it will void the warranty
